Mission Statement

Colby Love Can exists to ensure no one has to choose between seeking recovery and keeping their beloved pet safe. For many individuals struggling with substance use, a pet is one of their few sources of stability yet fear of losing that pet often keeps people from seeking treatment. Colby Love Can removes this barrier through safe, temporary foster care for pets whose owners enter treatment programs. It is central to our mission to establish a dedicated shelter facility, providing reliable, professional care without dependence on foster availability. This will let us serve more families consistently, while preserving the compassion at the heart of our work giving people one less reason to hesitate, and one more reason to stay the course.
