100 BLACK MEN OF LOS ANGELES INC
Mission Statement
The African American and Minority youth within the Los Angeles community lack holistic health & wellness education, underdeveloped social-emotional tools to work though day to day life challenges. These youth also face of lack of exposure and awareness of diverse career options. They often come from lower socio economic households, and have experienced and/or observed various traumas from within the households and from within the neighborhoods. The 100 Black Men of Los Angeles Inc. was founded in 1981 in Los Angeles. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for African Americans and other minorities through the enhancement of educational and economic opportunities within the community. Our focused pillars are Education, Mentorship, Health & Wellness, and Economic Empowerment. We also operate as part of a National organization, the 100 Black Men of America, Inc. and we seek to serve as a beacon of leadership by utilizing the organization’s diverse talents to create environments where our children are motivated to achieve, and to empower our people to become self-sufficient shareholders in the economic and social fabric of the communities we serve.
