Mission Statement
The Assistance League of Capistrano Valley, is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to serving children and families in South Orange County for over 40 years. Through innovative philanthropic programs, we provide essential support to those in need, including back-to-school clothing, teacher grants, scholarships for students and single parents, and assistance to military families at Camp Pendleton. For over 45 years, Assistance League of Capistrano Valley (ALCV) has transformed lives and strengthened our community through hands-on volunteerism and targeted programs that meet critical local needs. This year, with the support of our donors, partners, and dedicated volunteers, we invested over $275,000 back into our community—directly impacting thousands of students, families, and military service members. ? Operation School Bell® 572 students received new school clothing and hygiene kits, boosting self-confidence and readiness to learn. ? Links to Learning 119 middle school teachers received grants totaling $44,873, enriching lessons for over 3,570 students. ? Igniting Potential 518 high school AVID students benefited from SAT/ACT fee coverage, teacher training, college tours, career workshops, and mock interviews. ? Serving Those Who Serve Supported 222 military families and 515 children at Camp Pendleton with back-to-school clothing, pantry essentials, and toddler outfits. ? High School Scholarships / We Believe in You Awarded $46,000 in scholarships to 27 graduating seniors and 12 continuing college students—bridging the affordability gap. ? I.N.S.P.I.R.E. Scholarships Invested $40,000 to help 10 single parents attend Saddleback College and build brighter futures. ? Hands on Literacy 16 elementary teachers received weekly volunteer support in reading and math, strengthening foundational skills. ?
