Mission Statement

Desert Species Preservation Center became a 501c3 nonprofit in February 2022 and was created for the advancement of conservation for desert animal and plant species as well as being a contingency plan for an accredited southern Nevada zoo to ensure the 60+ resident animals, many of whom are rescues or owner surrenders, have the opportunity to live out their lives on the 176-acre rural property. Desert Species Preservation Center wants to continue Camel Safari's work in animal welfare, conservation, public education and public recreation.
