Mission Statement
Our mission is to rescue Australian Shepherds and other working breeds from abuse, neglect, strays, and owners in dire need of rehoming. MASR supports our local communities in educating adults and children for the betterment of these working breeds in the areas of veterinary care, socialization, mental and physical exercise, to use force/fear free and positive reinforcement training, and build relationships with their furry family members. Who we are: We are a Midwest based ALL volunteer based rescue that strives for excellence. We serve IL, IN, IA, MI, MO, MN and WI. Our motto, "Saving people, one dog at a time." We work tirelessly to make a difference in our community helping both people and their dogs. We work to match our adopters and foster dogs so everyone is successful. Each dog is an individual and each home has a unique environment and needs. Through our systematic approach, we place both in foster homes and in adoptive homes so the people and dogs can be successful. We also work to educate the public on care, force/fear free training, relationship building and canine enrichment.
