CARING HEARTS 4 PAWS
Mission Statement
It is our mission to provide aid homeless, mistreated, and stray animals from certain death if they are left on their own. In order to relieve the strain on nearby shelters, we collaborate with friends close to the Yakima reservation to rescue an excessive number of stray dogs. We also participate in the last litter program, which takes in pregnant strays and ensures the mother and all of her children are spayed or neutered in an effort to break the cycle of stray animals. A single unspayed female dog and all of her resulting offspring can lead to 67,000 puppies being born in just 6 years. We recognize that the stray dog population is a significant concern in many communities, posing various challenges related to public health, animal welfare, and environmental impact. Stray dogs contribute to the spread of diseases, disrupt ecosystems, and pose a threat to wildlife. Our goal is to help as many dogs as we can by finding forever homes, reliable foster care, and providing medical care. All of the work done by us is volunteer based and funded by grants and donations. No officer or board members get paid for their time.
