BLUEMONT SANCTUARY

Bluemont Sanctuary is a 501©3 Non-Profit Organization that provides permanent residence to at risk, neglected, and forgotten animals. What started with a single horse needing a second chance at life, without the expectation of performance or work, has grown into over 45 equines (horses, donkeys, ponies & minis), who have been saved from slaughter, neglect, and abuse. Bluemont Sanctuary has also expanded into other programs, such as housing barn cats, goats, and chickens. The mission of our organization is one of permanence. Every rescue that walks through our gates stays with us for life. Regardless of an animal’s age or medical conditions, the goal is to provide each one with a soft landing, which includes acres to roam, individualized diets, consistent and ongoing supplementary and medical care to ensure optimal health and a herd family to call their own.
