KC COMMON GOOD INC

The mission of KC Common Good (KCCG) is to create an environment where all citizens can live safely and have access to real opportunities. We unite the community to address the root causes of violence and instill hope, ensuring a successful future for every person who calls the greater Kansas City region home. We are a backbone organization that connects and facilitates collaboration between stakeholders from all sectors to prevent and reduce violence. We employ proven strategies and models that ensure alignment for maximum efficiency and impact. KCCG has also identified five root causes of violence prevalent in Kansas City: lack of access to social and economic resources, concentrated poverty, high dropout rates among high schoolers, lack of educational attainment, and repeated family trauma. Our programs are designed to align program partners with their areas of expertise, and to empower residents and everyday citizens to lead the way on violence prevention. We expect that 2024 will be a critical year for KCCG and the entire metro area in the realm of violence prevention. We are confident that our work will have a significant and sustainable positive impact on the entire Kansas City area in the coming years.
