Demand Disruption (DD) is a non-profit organization committed to combating sex trafficking through buyer-informed initiatives and employing programs to transform sex buyers' minds and hearts. Our mission is to address the demand side of sex trafficking by intervening to eliminate buyer motivation, consequently reducing their access to vulnerable and exploited individuals. Our objective is to significantly interrupt the cycle of exploitation, thus fostering a safer community for all. Within that context, DD focuses on addressing the diverse societal factors that contribute to the demand for illegal sex. This concentration includes confronting the challenges associated with a hyper-sexualized culture and the seemingly normalization and acceptance of pornography in our everyday lives. To that end, we directly acknowledge the considerable role pornography plays in human trafficking.
