VAST elevates  the most at risk veterans and there families, who's mental health has led to mass incarceration and homelessness. Mission Statement: Bridging the gaps that support veteran’s and their families with who's mental health, leads to mass homelessness, incarcerations and sobriety. Our goal is the successful re-integration of the veteran and their families through Peer Mentorship. "Because, at the end of the day, it costs, between shelters and emergency rooms and jails, it costs about $40,000 a year for a homeless person to be on the streets." ~National Alliance to end Homelessness.
