PROJECT ROUJ CORPORATION
Mission Statement
We leverage the home building process to create shelter, jobs, and economic development in rural Haiti. We are proud that we do way less than most charities. Yes, we are a charity. But our charitable act is a seed that grows into real change. We build homes in Haiti. And while that’s not especially unique, the way we do it certainly is. We don’t give houses to Haitians. That wouldn’t break the cycle of poverty, and it’s not what Haitians want, anyway. Haitians want jobs. They want stability. They want to provide for their families themselves. Ultimately, Haitians want dignity. And we exist to help them achieve it.
