SALT LICK POINT STEWARDSHIP NFP

The mission of the Salt Lick Point Stewardship NFP is to manage for the owner (Village of Valmeyer) Salt Lick Point Land and Water Reserve located in Monroe County, Illinois. Duties involved: preserving, protecting and improving the conditions of the remnant prairies and glades, large block of forest and woodland habitats, threatened and endangered species and to maintain the trail system. The corporate goal involves maintaining the biodiversity of the INAI site for future generations and to facilitate scientific research by government agencies and universities. These duties will be carried out by following the guidance of the Illinois Nature Preserves Commission.
