Mission Statement
Mission Statement: To provide an educational environment that creates meaningful jobs, builds a sense of belonging, and validates dignity and respect for adults with disabilities. To change the way the world views adults with special needs. Vision Statement: To build an entrepreneurial program with a high-end gift shop and cafe, and a residential community where Citizens with disabilities will continue to learn, work, and thrive, being celebrated and empowered in a God-centered environment as they engage in meaningful work and service. BiG provides meaningful vocational activities for those with intellectual, physical and emotional disabilities—who we refer to as Citizens in our community—that prevent them from functioning independently in society. Our Citizens have challenges such as autism, brain injury, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, epilepsy, and other diagnosed genetic differences. BiG believes that these individuals each possess unique talents and abilities, and we strive to give them the platform to share those gifts with our community. Our nation provides excellent services for children with special needs, but upon aging out of the school system at 22, those services disappear. 80% of adults with special needs sit at home with no purpose and no community- isolated from society and each other. It's not simply a program, but a culture, inviting of all, with the atmosphere to see each and every individual's value and gifts, working together to provide joyous and purposeful life. BiGGL is a 501(c)3 tax exempt non-profit organization.
