March 2016 Re: American Medical Response National Public Safety Telecommunications Week “911 Telecommunications Week” Dear Community Partner, It is that time of year again that AMR celebrates the hard work and dedication of our everyday heroes here in San Joaquin County. “911 Telecommunication Week” is our way of giving back and honoring the people who make a difference in someone else’s life in an emergency situation. The definition of hero; a man or woman who commits an act of remarkable bravery or who has shown an admirable quality such as great courage or strength of character, these are the 911 Emergency Medical Dispatchers and 911 Emergency Fire Dispatchers of American Medical Response. This year, 911 Telecommunication Week will take place April 10th – 16th. As a valued member of our community, we would like to take the opportunity to ask for your assistance in honoring local heroes. We are looking for donations to be used as prizes to be awarded in a raffle to these every day heroes.
