The HPW Foundation has partnered with local charities, homeless shelters and churches to give away thousands of turkeys each year through our annual Turkeys for the Triangle fundraiser. 100% of all proceeds go to purchasing turkeys for those in need here in the Triangle. In operation for more than a decade, our Turkeys for the Triangle program is a collective effort of corporate sponsors and our Coldwell Banker Howard Perry and Walston agents and staff who sell raffle tickets during the holiday season to raise money to fund the purchase of the special birds we donate. Throughout the years, Turkeys for the Triangle has donated over 30,000 turkeys to anchor holiday meals for more than 100,000 food-insecure people. This year, we’ve set a goal to donate more than 50,000 pounds of turkeys to feed our neighbors in need as well as active and veteran military members in and around Wake, Durham, Johnston, Orange, and Alamance Counties. We plan to distribute those turkeys to more than 100 hundred local non-profit and military organizations including: • United Service Organizations (USO); • U.S. Veterans Corp; • Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina; • Fuquay-Varina Emergency Food Pantry; • Garner Area Ministries Food Pantry; • Raleigh Rescue Mission; and other charities supported by CBHPW agents.
