Mission Statement
Northern Virginia Experimental Chinese School (NVAECS), founded in 1991, is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Virginia. Our tax-id is 54-1588292. Our classes are held each Sunday during the school year from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. We currently serve approximately 260 students with the support of 25 dedicated teachers, making us one of the largest Chinese language schools in Northern Virginia. At the heart of our school’s mission is a simple yet powerful belief: that learning should be fun, engaging, and meaningful. Our teaching philosophy emphasizes learning through play, encouraging students to discover the Chinese language in a way that feels natural, joyful, and effective. We are deeply committed not only to language education, but also to the preservation of Chinese culture for the next generation. Through a unique blend of cultural, social and extracurricular activities, we supplement traditional classroom learning with real-world experiences that bring the language and heritage to life.
