PTA DELAWARE CONGRESS

Our mission is to support and foster the academic success and social-emotional well-being of every student and family at our school. Our PTA supports a variety of events and ongoing initiatives. We: Support our school, teachers and staff through grants for teachers; Teacher & Staff Appreciation initiatives; and financial support for our School Garden & Outdoor Classroom. Build community among students and families by organizing social events such as Picnic on the Terrace and Movie Night, and the Ocelot Trot. Promote a love of reading through our annual Book Fair, Spring Reading Festival and Read-a-thon. Support families in need by providing support in a variety of ways, including scholarships for students to participate in after-school activities. Promote diversity, equity and inclusion at our school through on-going DEI-initiatives, our year-long Celebration of Cultures, and Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service events. Engage in advocacy at the school and county level related to student well being, instruction and student outcomes, and diversity and equity, among other topics.
