CHESAPEAKE BAY FOUNDATION INC
Mission Statement
The Chesapeake Bay Foundation’s (CBF) mission is simple: Save the Bay. Since 1967, The Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF) has fought for effective, science-based solutions to the pollution degrading the Chesapeake Bay watershed. CBF works to Save the Bay through four main programs: policy advocacy, environmental education, selective litigation, and environmental restoration. With offices in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia and 15 field education centers, CBF is leading the way in restoring the Bay and its rivers and streams. We are dedicated to reducing pollution, improving water quality, inspiring and educating the next generation of environmental stewards, and creating a healthier environment for the 18 million people and 3,600 species of wildlife who make this region their home. It all comes down to saving the Bay.
