Mission Statement
AYRA is guided by three core principles: First, baseball is a wonderful, multi-faceted game. It's simple enough for a 4 or 5 year old to understand, but also deep enough to provide a lifetime of learning and mastering skills and strategies. Second, we focus on winning as a process rather than as a goal. We stress to our coaches and players the importance of mastering the fundamentals, working hard, and having fun. The combination of these three things complemented with opportunities for more advanced skills training produces teams that win. Winning is just a natural result of this process. Third, and most importantly, baseball provides lessons players will carry with them through their lives. Baseball develops players through teamwork, fairplay, mentoring, competition, athletic achievement, physical fitness, and perseverance. Our baseball players know they should be humble in victory and gracious in defeat. These are all valuable life lessons each player carries with him or her into adulthood.
