HOUSTON CARES ANIMAL RESCUE
Mission Statement
Houston Cares Animals Rescue is a foster-based animal rescue group in Houston, Texas that provides care and vetting for lost/abandoned/stray animals until their forever family is found. We also offer TNR and feeding for feral cats and educate the community on animal care and the importance of spay/neuter. We adopt nationwide! So, all money raised goes straight to helping animals. We typically spend $200k annually in vetting street animals (spay/neuter/vaccines) and rescue 250+ annually (both cats and dogs) and get them adopted. We were originally founded as Westbury Cares, with a name change to Houston Cares in 2019 as we grew beyond the Westbury neighborhood.
