The Sherwood Police Foundation was created to stand as that base, underpinning, a rock-solid foundational framework for the Sherwood Police Department, maximizing the connection between police officers and Sherwood citizens to enhance public safety. The mission of the Sherwood Police Foundation is to strengthen and promote community support for the Sherwood Police Department The vision of the Sherwood Police Foundation is to promote the highest level of public safety and security by ensuring that the Sherwood Police possess the necessary tools, resources, training and programs to effectively and safely serve our community and to create community partnerships that encourage citizen participation in enhancing the safety of Sherwood.
