RIVERVIEW GARDENS INC
Mission Statement
Riverview Gardens’ mission is to build dignity through job training and employment. We empower people with employment barriers to forge their path to self-sufficiency through our proprietary ServiceWorks® job training and placement program. We approach our mission with the core concept that all people have value and can contribute to the community in which they live. We believe in allowing people to be part of their own solution. We serve without judgment to: • empower people to build work skills and strong work histories, • offer work experience and life skills training, • provide meaningful activity for socially isolated individuals, • and change the community's perceptions of people in need. We accomplish our mission by engaging individuals in need throughout the Fox Cities and Northeast Wisconsin. Participants learn transferable job skills that help them obtain stable, permanent employment allowing them to provide for themselves and their families and to become self-sufficient and contributing community members. Our five social enterprises – an urban farm; two hydroponic greenhouses; a community center; maintenance contracts; and a downtown entertainment district maintenance team -- provide unlimited job-training opportunities for individuals in need and sources of revenue to support the mission.
