FISHERS POLICE FOUNDATION

Mission Statement: (purpose) The Fishers Police Department Foundation was established to create financial and community support for the Fishers Police Department in its efforts to meet the needs and services of the community by achieving law enforcement excellence and gaining citizen understanding and support. The Foundation's main focus is to raise awareness and support for the important unbudgeted or "discretionary" needs of the department that will improve crime prevention and law enforcement efficiencies. Vision Statement: (role) Governed by volunteer directors, the Fishers Police Department Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) charitable, non-profit organization that provides opportunities for the police department to build stronger relationships with the citizens it serves by providing support for crime prevention and public safety through grant funding for specialized equipment and supporting Fishers Police officers in need. Major Objectives: 1. Build a collaborative effort between the Fishers community and the Fishers Police Department in the shared desire for a safer town. 2. Provide resources for law enforcement equipment not covered by annual department budgets. 3. Support Fishers Police officers in need based on application for services.
