FAMILY PROMISE OF THE SOUTH BAY

At Family Promise, our mission is to help families experiencing homelessness locate and secure housing for a lifetime using a community based approach. Over the past year, we have worked tirelessly to fulfill this mission, and I am thrilled to report that we have made significant strides in working with families and children to help them find housing, increase income, and boost their community support. Through the collective efforts of our dedicated staff, volunteers, and supporters, we have positively impacted the lives of over 400 individuals in our community. Our Mission: Our mission is to help families seeking stable housing in the South Bay achieve sustainable independence through a community-based approach. Our comprehensive support programs offer two years of housing, case management, children's programming, mental health support, and wraparound services. We address the root causes of homelessness to create lasting change and brighter futures for families in need. Our Vision: We believe that no child should have to sleep in a car, in a park, or under a bridge, and that every family deserves a chance to be whole and have a roof over their head again. Our Impact 2024 700 Volunteers Engaged 26 Families prevented from homeless 9 Families exited shelter into permanent housing 432 Individuals served 274 Children served 139 Families served 2024 Milestones Housing Success Rate: Our priority continues to be securing stable housing for families. In 2023 we hit the 2-year mark with a 100% success rate. Family Events: We seek to create opportunities for families to connect. In 2024, our events were the highest attended than before. Community Connections: We were able to launch a brand new program in the Fall of 23 called “Just Neighbors” a program designed to connect congregations with families to build support and community.
