TRAFFICK FREE INC

A grassroots movement born out of the city of Chicago in 2008, Traffick Free is a faith-motivated organization that seeks to provide the greater metropolitan area of Chicago with tools and sustainable programs to combat human trafficking and transform the lives of victims and communities. Through an ever-growing partner network of city offices, churches, and non-profit civic organizations including Chicago Association Against Sexual Exploitation (CAASE), Traffick Free works to increase public understanding of the reality of human trafficking, or exploitation in Chicago through speaking engagements, hosting education events, and serving on six central task forces dedicated to advocating for survivors of violence. In addition to these efforts, we also help coordinate a network of services for survivors through our partner network. Traffick Free has also conducted research among local social services and law enforcement to help identify and respond to the most urgent needs for victims of exploitation in Chicago in order to expand our current programming to further transform lives. Building upon our current work to respond to the needs of victims, we are evolving from an education organization to increase our direct-services by establishing an Overnight Drop-in Center in Chicago dedicated to serving female victims of sexual exploitation.
