Mission Statement
The mission of the CFD is to preserve life and property, promote public safety, and foster economic growth through leadership, management and actions, as an all-risk life safety response provider. The CFD will provide fire suppression, rescue / emergency services, and public education. The CFD will respond to requests for service in a timely manner and will provide services to the best of their ability with the equipment, training, experience and resources available at the time. Requests for service outside the geographic boundaries of the CFD’s Primary Service Area will automatically be considered as mutual aid requests until such time as the agency with jurisdiction arrives and relieves the CFD. The goals of the CFD are to develop an organization which effectively administers and manages the resources of the CFD, minimizes the impact of disasters and other emergencies on life and property, provides an effective Emergency Services System, and promotes an effective Fire Prevention and Public Safety System.
