NEWBRIDGE MADISON INC
Mission Statement
The East Madison Monona Coalition of the Aging (EMMCA) uses evidence-based practices to provide programs and social services to address the growing needs among seniors and help reduce the cost of caring for seniors within our communities. The number of seniors is increasing dramatically as Baby Boomers age and as life expectancy increases. Those age 60+ are currently the fastest growing demographic group in Dane County. There are currently close to 80,000 seniors in Dane County. Approximately 6% of these seniors are living at or below the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). Given this trend, investing in cost effective strategies to support seniors benefits the whole community by reducing the cost of their care. EMMCA’s MISSION: To empowers older adults to maintain their health, safety, independence and community connection.
