VERMILION COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER FOUNDATION
Mission Statement
To support the Vermilion County Animal Shelter in its operation of shelter for animals by assisting in the provision of food, supplies, medical treatment, grooming, spaying and neutering of shelter animals. The VCASF will provide various avenues of promoting adoptions and rescues by offsite locations using the mobile adoption trailer, adoption clinics at a rented space, and through joint efforts and accredited and/or reputable rescue organizations and various animal welfare groups. The VCASF will promote and emphasize the importance of spaying/neutering animals as the primary tool of overpopulation by facilitating a low cost spay and neuter program for county animals and by educating on the importance of spaying/neutering whenever possible.
