Mission Statement
The St. Joseph’s Carmelite Home is committed to providing a healthy living environment in which a child may thrive. Carmelite provides emergency shelter care and residential care when needed due to family or personal problems. Accordingly, the home strives to meet the physical, developmental, emotional, social, moral and educational needs of girls from birth to age 18 and boys from birth to age 14, in an atmosphere of loving acceptance, nurture and guidance. The Home also strives to help the families of the children in care to solve the problems that led to separation. The Carmelite Sisters provide services for children and families of all races, ethnic heritage and creeds.
