FRIENDS OF THE CENTER FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES

Friends of the C.I.D. is a fundraising and support group for the C.I.D. (Center for Individual Development) and its Therapeutic Recreation programs for people with Disabilities. The funds raised are intended to provide support when needed to help assist with Staff costs for the Therapeutic Recreation programs that the Center provides. The mission of the C.I.D. Therapeutic Recreation programs is to focus on developing and enhancing the independence and self-reliance of people with disabilities relative to the responsible use of leisure. C.I.D. programs focus on providing ongoing opportunities in recreation activities that enhance self-esteem, creativity, physical fitness, fuller independence and an overall feeling of well-being.
