BUTLER COUNTY YOUTH HOCKEY ASSOCIATION
Mission Statement
The Taylor Metcalf Fund (TMF) is named for a Talawanda High School student who died in a car accident on April 22, 1995. Taylor loved life, his family and friends, Garth Brooks, and playing sports - especially hockey. He was a natural athlete who cared more about his team's success than his own. Taylor's coaches, Dan Sens and Jim Stearns, with Taylor's mom, Lynn Metcalf, established the fund in his memory and to support two Talawanda High School brothers who would not otherwise have been able to continue playing hockey due to financial hardship. The mission of the Taylor Metcalf Fund (TMF) is to leverage the power of hockey to positively impact our community. By partnering with local organizations and the community we represent, we are committed to providing financial aid to underprivileged youth, hosting events, and running initiatives that increase access and opportunity to ice hockey. TMF supports youth hockey players in the SW Ohio and SE Indiana area (Butler, Hamilton, and Preble Counties, Ohio, and Union and Franklin Counties, Indiana), and scholarship funds are available to players outside of the Miami Youth Hockey Program.
