MAGNOLIA EXOTIC BIRD SANCTUARY INC
Mission Statement
At Magnolia Exotic Bird Sanctuary, we specialize in the rescue and rehabilitation of exotic birds, serving as a vital resource in Texas and the surrounding states. Our sanctuary stands out as one of the few in the region that specifically caters to the needs of these unique and often misunderstood creatures. We provide emergency safe housing for the pets of domestic violence victims, emergency shelter for hurricanes, floods and fire. We are a family run profit. The board consist of 2 sisters and 1 brother. Sharon Markland age 76, Candace Tanner age 69 and Richard Markland age 72. We care for 170 exotic parrots offering life long sanctuary for the wild caught parrots, the abused, neglected and injured. The average age of our birds is 25, many can live up to 80 years. We work diligently to find the best homes for the parrots that can be adopted. We average about 25 adoptions a year. Thank you for reading our story. I hope that the work that we do is of interest to you. Rescuing for 30 years, became a nonprofit in 2014.
