Mattoon Hit-Men baseball has the following philosophy; “Our purpose and mission is to give the young men instructional guidance and experience in playing baseball at a higher level of competition. In order to do this, The Hit-Men sends its teams to tournaments in the state of Illinois and schedules games with teams in Central Illinois. The emphasis is always on sportsmanship, character, skill development, and fun, over winning.”
