Mission Statement

CatVando is a Trap-Neuter-Return ~ Rescue (TNR~R) organization near Chicago, IL. We are the first line of rescue in the streets and last resort for cats and those who care for them. We help get cats spayed/neutered and vaccinated. We remove kittens and strays for socialization and adoption. We act as infirmary and sanctuary for cats, feral or stray, young and old. We work with area youth to teach respect for life through our work. working to help care for and reduce the number of cats living and born in the streets of our communities. We work with individuals, communities and municipalities to address the issue of street cats. As a Sponsor in accordance with Cook County’s ‘Managed Care of Feral Cats’ Ordinance, CatVando is authorized to register feral cat colonies and their caretakers and to teach responsible colony management
