"The preservation of the unique cultural, historical, and environmental heritage of our region for the benefit of present and future generations." The Conservancy projects include but are not limited to: Land preservation, historic educational mapping of county communities to promote appreciation of the heritage of the area also assisting the local economy with foot traffic in the communities, offer educational seminars & field trips, provide scholarship opportunities for local students, support clean water efforts through stream bank restoration and development of aquatic life environments, support "green" building residential & business structure efforts, suppport expansion of Agricultural Security Areas in local townships for maintaining food sources for residents and migratory birds in this globally significant migration area.
