NEW VENTURE FUND

Since its inception in 1955, the fundamental mission of the Avon Foundation for Women has been to promote or aid charitable, scientific, educational, and humanitarian activities, with a special emphasis on those activities that improve the lives of women and their families. The Foundation's current mission focus is to lead efforts to eradicate breast cancer and end domestic and gender violence using four key strategies: Fund the most promising work; Convene its grantees, partners and other thought leaders to collaborate and share best practices for improved outcomes; Initiate new directions and innovative projects to accelerate progress; and Educate the general public and key audiences to drive and change behavior to achieve its mission goals.
