Mission Statement
We are partnering with Convoy of Hope Community to bring an event to Erie, Pennsylvania. As the public workforce system, American Job Center, we are setting up the Job and Career tent for up to 3,000 individuals of poverty to introduce them to local opportunities for training and employment. Our hope is to provide them with a "payday" at the end of their time with us assessing their interests, writing a resume, practicing interviewing, considering education opportunities including adult learning such as high school equivalency and occupational training for jobs that will keep them in the region. We will also have partners participating such as Dress for Success, training providers/educators, and an area for children where they may color and learn more about different occupations.
