Our mission is to ensure that every low-income young person in Greater Boston becomes a confident, science-literate citizen who understands and loves science and can use it to make positive changes in their school, home or community. This vision comes alive by bringing our award-winning science teaching methods to children and youth and pairing this with action skills to make a difference. “e” inc.’s work takes place in urban under-privileged communities. We focus on creating enthusiasm for the science of beings, biomes, resources, and systems and then, the challenges these face. Through a well-honed civic engagement process, we then involve our students in projects. From actions aimed at sustainability in schools to efforts to safeguard species and resources, our children become doers. “e” inc. has now established a reputation for excellence, professionalism, and outcomes achieved. We are getting ready to mount a second exhibit about climate and resilience – a topic clearly relevant to our community.
