NEW ENGLAND BASSETT HOUND RESCUE INC
Mission Statement
NEBHR, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2001. Since then, the organization has helped over 900 homeless, abandoned, and unwanted basset hounds of New England find forever homes. NEBHR is comprised of a board of nine members, all of whom are volunteers and reside in the New England states. NEBHR receives donations from adopters, general supporters, as well as individuals who must surrender their dogs. These funds are used to provide medical treatment (such as surgery, vaccinations, spay/neuter) while dogs are in foster care. We hold our annual fundraiser, Woofstock, every September, which brings together hundreds of animal lovers for a day of fun and rescue awareness. Additional funds are raised throughout the year through periodic t-shirt and merchandise sales. Woofstock is an annual fundraiser that has a silent auction, raffles, games and activities for the dogs and their owners, food, fun and a good time for all. We tend to gather 200+ humans and their dogs to our event each year. This is our one and only live event that we hold every year. You’re item will be featured as a stand-alone “Getaway” auction item or combined with other items from Berkshire County based companies as a “Berkshire County Getaway” package.
